Under the Reading Standard, Students will need to read closely, siting complex text, pointing out evidence within text and making logical inferences based on the reading in the text.

Under the Writing Standard, Students will need to write arguments, write informative texts, draw evidence from literacy and assess the credibility of the source based on what was in the reading.

Under the standard for speaking and listening, students will need to gain a full range of conversation and collaboration, speak clearly and persuasively and adapt speech to a variety of contexts. Students will also gain knowledge and understanding of the give and take in a discussion or argument.

Under Language students will need to have full conventions of Standard English, knowledge of language and full acquisition of language and use.

All of theses standards go hand in hand and are designed to overlap each other.
